Visual Blockchain – A Solution to Transparency in the Fashion Supply Chain
This award-winning project was created as part of the Fashion Future Challenge at Fashion Summit, Hong Kong (2019), addressing one of the industry’s most pressing issues: transparency. With Millennials and Gen Z demanding ethical, sustainable, and radically transparent practices from brands, our team proposed Visual Blockchain—a solution designed to make supply chain data clear, engaging, and accessible through visuals rather than complex text-based blockchain formats.
Developed through extensive primary and secondary research, the project explored sustainability trends, blockchain technologies, customer surveys, and competitive market analysis in Hong Kong. The final deliverables included a 72-page proposal book and a presentation, outlining the concept, mechanics, and positioning of a Visual Blockchain app. The solution aimed to bridge the gap between brands and consumers, providing transparency in a way that aligns with younger generations’ preference for visual communication.
Our proposal not only introduced an innovative idea to the fashion industry but also challenged its traditional practices, envisioning a disruptive step toward more responsible and transparent supply chains.
